Wood Elf
by Lily
(New York)
While showing the piece to friends it suddenly came about that the wood elf should be named George. The reason for the woods, besides the fact of being a wood elf, is that he's running away from home. Weeks of quarreling with his father put him on edge and when his father took the last piece of lembas bread George finally decided that he has had enough. We don't know where he's off to but it will be a splendid adventure indeed.
Barb's Editorial:
Dear Lily, this drawing is fabulous. I love the depth and detail of the woods. You have captured the shading of the cape very well, you get the feel of the movement. So good job all around. This might make an exciting painting. Quite an artist!
