I think this little fairytale princess encompasses all of the magic of any princess fairies.
Try drawing her sweet innocent look.
This adorable little Celtic girl is in my mind a very young innocent scottish lass.
I can just imagine her by the garden gate of her castle on the moors.
Certainly she has that fairy tale and faraway look.
I really enjoyed drawing her interesting braids and long waves.
Remember to have fun with the hair and the wings, as these elements of a drawing can really change her look.
Think of this page as a drawing tutorial that can help you gather your imaginative powers, give you a little inspiration that can get you creating your own fantasy art.
You can copy, but I want to reveal a secret about drawing, the most important thing is to push past any frustration about what it is looking like.
Trust that if you finish you will have something completed, and then you are hooked on drawing.
This is one of the secrets which are revealed in my book...
Have fun copying her and drawing whatever comes out.
But don't forget to check out all of the drawings on this site. I guarantee you will be drawing better and better.
If you would like some very simple drawing lessons - check out how to draw - a section with a bunch of free lessons. If you try those and want some lessons that will bring your skills up to the level of all of the practice on this site, don't forget about my drawing book - it will make all of this really easy.
I always want to keep practicing.
Just so you can really see how the braided locks were drawn, and her cute little face - here is a close up.
I love playing with hair, shading and highlighting always bring out the realism.
So if you are creating braids or curls, always concentrate on the shading, and remember to leave the highlights white.
Try using more values - when you are shading, sometimes very dark shading, lighter and lighter as you move through the drawing.
This can make it even more magic.
