This is the page where I will be adding all kinds of paragraphs with Scrapbooking Ideas, as they come up.I will try to keep it in some kind of order, but you will find it to be sort of like a reference fact file.
Firstly, what could I add in terms of ideas that you have not already come up with?
Sometimes, these ideas will be something you already do, but sometimes, it might be something you haven't thought about.

Using Fairies in your Scrapbooking

Using Background Papers
Visit my Scrapbooking Papers page, or look at the Scrapbooking packages I offer. You can use papers as backgrounds either by printing them out, or playing with them in your Photo Editor.
I use Photo Shop Elements and I will here and there be showing some methods for achieving certain results.
You can expand your scrapbooking ideas into the fairies and fairy tale realm.
Imagine your excitement as you find new papers and use them in creative ways, adding magic to your projects.
For a really good tutorial go and Start digitally scrapbooking today - FAST!Software Scrapbook Secrets Revealed will let you start creating layouts within 60 to 90 minutes by watching these easy to use movie tutorials.Available for Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop Elements, and Photoshop.
Papers are backgrounds, but they can also be ripped apart, and made into great borders.
If you are printing out, keep in mind that you can even paint over the edges, making them look frosted or aged.
A little white paint layered over the edges can create a rather nice frosted look.
A little light yellow, and/or brown can be feathered on the edges to create an aged look.
Press the paper between two telephone books to flatten nicely.
If you are using a Photo Editor this can be even more fun.
You have a choice of colors that can be floated across the paper, and don't forget to experiment with the transparency level of the color.
To rip the background paper you just use the eraser tool.
Under Digital Scrapbooking, I am creating a page called Scrapbooking tips which is particularly aimed at PhotoShop Elements users.
This page will provide some tutorials.

Fairy Tales
I recently saw some great scrapbooking albums that looked like ancient books. These books could be the basis of creating a whole fairy tale with some youngster as the heroine in the story.
Have you ever tried writing (it is really journaling, but making a fictional story out of it) a fairy tale around this youngster?
Wow what other exciting Scrapbooking Ideas does this adventure promise?
Journaling and writing your own fairy tale.
Digital Camera?
Take some close up photos of fabric. If you have the right light it can work.

Magazines
Pull out pages from magazines and use a part of the background. If you can scan into the computer and use a Photo Editor this can be a lot of fun. Imagine what Scrapbooking Ideas you can come up with using a magazine.
Due to copyright issues this should only be done for your own personal use.
Part of the background can be blown up and made into your own background or border edge.

Embellishments
The embellishments I provide on this site are of course fairies, mermaids, and even pixies, to be used in any layout with alittle girl theme.
Dragon Scrapbooking Ideas
For little boys, I am working on some dragon packages. Please check out my Dragon Coloring Page if you wish to work on some yourself, or if you want to try dragon drawing you might find an unknown talent or add to your already discovered talent.
Paper Doll Scrapbooking Ideas
I have free paper doll coloring pages on this site. Go to paper dolls and you can print out dolls with clothes.
Kids can color these themselves, and maybe you can put your child's picture on the doll? I have seen this done, and kids think it is a blast.
You can paint or color them yourself and make them part of a more sophisticated project perhaps about a great shopping trip?

Brushes
What scrapbooking project is complete without brushes. Again, you can actually create a brush from a coloring page. If you use it in Photo Shop Elements it can be zoomed in on, and you can extract the background that way.
Sometimes with a coloring page I would print it out, and then take a black marker and make each line extra thick. This will make extracting the background much easier.
I am developing more brushes all the time.
Borders
Borders can of course be purchased, either painted torn edges, or brushes, or painted frames, but you can also make your own borders by drawing a corner, or a straight edge. Take a black marker and draw dots and lines in a straight line the length of a paper, say eight inches.
Make the marks thick with a black marker.
This will work on a printed paper or if you have a printer that is also a scanner, you can scan the edge into your computer, and then open in your photo editor.
Extract the background and save as a png file, and whammo you have your own brush border that can be used on many projects.
You can also get much more creative and draw little doll shapes, or heart shapes, or flowers, whatever.
You see when you do it yourself you can create what you want.
