Fairy Tales

Find Re-Told Classics

This is the place to enjoy the re-told classic Fairy Tales.

Maybe you want to expose your children to these old tales?

Maybe you just want to remember them yourself?

These old stories were told for centuries, and I must admit I see more and more movies digging them up.

Hollywood can see that these Fairy Tales need to be re-told.

That is good news - as the memories of these tales still float about in my head

I always loved the Fairy Tales by the Grimms Brothers.

Grimms Brothers Fairy Tales

Hey, they made a movie out of the legend behind the Grimms Brothers writings.

What I really liked about the movie is that they made it clear that the Grimms Brothers reported and expanded on the folklore that were already being told in their time.

This was apparently true. That is the what they did. They wrote down the stories that were being told, and had been told to the people of their time.

Overall, I liked the movie it gave the impression of that time being very magical, and that people of those days believed the tales.

The link to the following page will give you a little more info about the Grimms Tales

Hans Christian Andersen

My page about Hans Christian Andersen and his tales is at the link.

He created totally original stories and they have some very different endings.

Arabian Nights

The page about the Arabian Nights is at the link.

Aesops Fables

Then there is a page dedicated to Aesops Fables

Mother Goose

This page Mother Goose tells you about who she was - or at least raises more questions about the History of Mother Goose. Follow the link above and find out more...

The Mother Goose Rhymes everyone knows is a great introduction to Mother Goose.

For an original old irish/scottish tale about a Mermaid check out the Lady of Gollerus
