Aesops Fables were tales that have been handed down for generations.Every child has probably heard one or two of the tales, whether through a cartoon or a commercial.
These tales are owned by humanity and have been told by every media format forever.

Who wrote them?
No one actually knows the correct story, but here is some history.Herodotus, the Greek writer reported that Aesop was a slave who lived in Samos in 6th Century B.C.
It is also supposed that Aesop never actually wrote the tales down.
Some attribute Socrates with putting the old Aesops Fables into verse.
Many versions in various languages have been reported.
They were translated into Latin, Syriac, and back into Greek.
Somehow we have these marvelous fables in our world today, and in many languages.

They should be read!
Some of us believe they should be read. They have delighted young and old for centuries.
Aesops Fables are wonderful for helping to learn the ways of life. I am still learning, and in fact just recently learned, understood and have started to believe in the process of the Tortoise and The Hare.
I believe in being a Tortoise in life - things work out with patience
I am adding this
Aesops Fables
link, which will bring you to the Tortoise and the Hare.
The Tortoise and the Hare is one of my favorites and it sums up the idea that a plodder wins the race.
It shows us that being persistent is the most important quality -don't lose your focus and don't let your ego dictate to you.
I know this to be true - just learned it!
Most of these tales are fairly short and a worthwhile read.
Also, below is a great story called
The Milkmaid And Her Pail
, and if you like that, I have quoted another.
All of these stories are about success in life, and they certainly apply to any creative endeavour you might pursue.
The Ant And The Grasshopper
