Who wrote them?
No one actually knows the correct story, but here is some history.Herodotus, the Greek writer reported that Aesop was a slave who lived in Samos in 6th Century B.C. It is also supposed that Aesop never actually wrote the tales down. Some attribute Socrates with putting the old Aesops Fables into verse. Many versions in various languages have been reported.
